This commissioned piece
was designed as a departing gift for Roberto DeClara,
conductor of the York
Symphony Orchestra from 1990 to 2003.
It was done in conjunction with the artist, Belinda Wojcik,
who created the amazing picture of Roberto, on canvas,
that is the focal point of the front of the hanging.

Size: 66 x 48
Materials Used:
This technically challenging piece required the creation
of two separate pieces. It was rendered in black, white
and grey with a few gold accents to represent the look
and feel of the orchestra.
One side involved the framing, in fabric mosaics, (primarily
silks and satins), of the picture of Roberto rendered
on canvas by Belinda Wojcik.
The reverse side involved the scanning and transferring
to fabric of personalized messages and pictures from all
members of the orchestra.
