Original, Innovative Art Using Hand Painted Fabric, Natural Silk and Wool Rovings and A Range of Other Media

In this piece, I use linear shapes to represent some of the many different faces that the sun shows us. Though monochromatic, contrast in this piece is created by the juxtaposition of varied textures and patterns. Silky ribbons are set against satin, polished cotton and silk fabric. The radiating strips lead from and to the “phases” of the sun, rendered in clay and paint .
