Dale Sutton began her career as a student of fashion merchandising
and design at Ryerson 25 years ago. Since then she has followed
a winding road through corporate boardrooms and consulting
offices, conducting training sessions and facilitating personal
development her own and others. Through it all she
has kept in touch with the love of colour, texture and form
that drives her, acquiring skills in many crafts and producing
work in every form, from pottery to stained glass to mosaic
to twig furniture.
Finally, in the last few years, Dale has returned to her first
passion fabric, creating a new art form that combines
the gifts of the quilter and the seamstress with the artists
eye for dazzling combinations and an uncanny ability to recognize
and integrate found art. The results are unique wall hangings
that defy categorization. Many are designed with a particular
space in mind, and always in consultation with those who will
be sharing that space.
As Dales second love is teaching, she also offers courses
to those who see exploring the visual arts as a part of their
own personal journey of discovery. For details on upcoming classes please visit our classes page.
